Bard Engineering

Who we are

Foundation

Established in 1988, our business focused on equipment and machinery, repair, refurbishment and fabrication. With the dedication of our skilled personnel, we developed a reputation for consistently delivering exceedingly high standards of workmanship.

Expansion

Through understanding our customers’ need for proficiency in hydrocarbon products and services, we experienced strong customer demand and were well positioned for expansion.

In early 2000, we developed and produced our first service and water truck modules and concluded agreements for the distribution and support for a range of renowned hydrocarbon, dispensing, filtration and lubrication products.

With the expansion, we successfully designed and developed a range of hydraulic, pneumatic and manual hose reels, certified grease canisters, grease pump stations, grease filtration products. The ‘Bushranger’ grease pump for heavy duty hydraulic excavator applications became particularly popular. These products are fully manufactured in Australia.

Floods

During Queensland’s floods in 2011, the water level exceeded three meters at our head office and main facility. An exemplary team effort by our people over a number of months allowed us to clean up and rebuild our business.

The damage caused by the floods, together with the prevailing market conditions at that time, severely impacted our operations. Unable to recover our facility at Rocklea, we relocated to Archerfield, Queensland.

Acquisition

Over a number of years we had developed a relationship with the Jaws Company for the fabrication of modules. In 2011, to assist and support Bard during this difficult period, the Jaws Company purchased a 50% interest in Bard Engineering. In 2016 Jaws acquired 100% ownership of Bard.
