01

Expansion

By acknowledging the specific needs of our customers in the hydrocarbon industry, we experienced a strong demand, strategically positioning ourselves for growth.

In the early 2000s, we took the lead in developing & producing our initial service & water truck modules. This initiative resulted in securing agreements for the distribution & support of a distinguished range of hydrocarbon, dispensing, filtration, & lubrication products.

As part of our expansion plan, we successfully conceptualized & manufactured a diverse selection of hydraulic, pneumatic, & manual hose reels, certified grease canisters, grease pump stations, & grease filtration products. Notably, the 'Bushranger' grease pump, designed for heavy-duty hydraulic excavator applications, gained significant popularity. It is noteworthy that all these products are entirely manufactured in Australia.

Floods

Bard Engineering Flooded

In 2011, Queensland experienced severe floods, causing the water level to surpass three meters at our central office & primary facility.

Through a commendable collaborative effort by our team spanning several months, we successfully undertook the task of cleaning up & reconstructing our business.

The aftermath of the floods, coupled with challenging market conditions, significantly affected our operations. Faced with the inability to restore our facility in Rocklea, we made the strategic decision to relocate to Archerfield, Queensland.

03

Acquisition

Through several years, we nurtured a partnership with the Jaws Company for module fabrication.

In 2011, amid challenges faced by Bard, the Jaws Company demonstrated solidarity by acquiring a 50% stake in Bard Engineering.

Subsequently, in 2016, Jaws completed the acquisition, securing 100% ownership of Bard.
